Becoming Neighbors: Shoulder to Shoulder with Generations & New Arrivals of Haywood County

Have you ever heard the saying “you ain’t from around here, are ya?” We want to bring folks that have moved here together with those who have been here all their lives for a facilitated conversation about our experiences.

While we will have designated panelists telling their story, everyone will be invited and encouraged to participate in small group breakouts designed to answer questions surrounding your experiences as Haywood grows.

Join us for Becoming Neighbors — an event that brings together diverse individuals to foster deeper connections and understanding — turning strangers into neighbors. We’ll model how to cultivate connection and community across lines of difference. We’ll be discussing what it means to belong and how our community can foster a greater sense of belonging for all.
