Looking Back & Giving Forward

In this series, “Looking Back and Giving Forward”, Lumunos will take you on a journey of aging that will challenge you to address assumptions and attitudes about aging, offering you a compelling vision of aging without denying its challenges. Whether you attend one, two, three, or all four sessions, this program is designed to give you the opportunity to reflect on your legacy, discover ways to share your wisdom within your family and your community, and build sustenance for you as a sage – someone who has lived long enough to hold great courage and wisdom, and who is inspired to use it to better the world around them.
Whether or not you currently consider yourself as an older adult, we are all aging. Attendees of all ages will gain valuable insights regarding the gifts, strengths, and callings that are a part of our experience for leading fulfilling, meaningful and connected lives into our later years.
In this first LumZoom, we will discuss guiding principles of identity as we age, sharing perspectives on communal identity as well as the individual paradigm of aging with wisdom, insight, and positivity. The entire series includes:
Session 1: An Introduction to Saging & Listening to Your Inner Wisdom (March)
Session 2: Framing Your Life & Realizing Your Gifts and Strengths (June)
Session 3: Core Values & Your Legacy at a Time Such as This (Sept)
Session 4: Finding Common Ground & The Most Important Question (Dec)
During our time together, we will embrace the dynamics of small groups, provide questions for reflection and include worksheets for self-guided practice at home. During the beginning of each session, there will be different individuals bringing their own rich wisdom into the group. It is our hope you leave these Lumzooms inspired to embrace the gifts of aging, and to use your courage and wisdom to make a difference in the world.
While we offer our online programming for free, we encourage you to make a donation to help support our mission of fostering meaningful conversations and relationships that create purpose in life, belonging in community, and wellbeing in the workplace.
