Lumunos and the 12 Steps: How Meaningful Conversations Lead to Meaningful Change
Lumunos and Alcoholics Anonymous share roots through their founders and through the idea that personal transformation comes through authentic conversations and meaningful relationships. It is when we take accountability and heal that we are called to change our own lives, which then inspires us to create meaningful change in our communities.
In our first two sessions of “Lumunos and the 12 Steps,” we focused our discussions on surrender, accountability, and amends. Whether you were able to attend those sessions or not, join us for this session (the 3rd of 4) to discuss grace, love and healing.
In chapter 5 of Breathing Under Water: Spirituality and the Twelve Steps, Richard Rohr writes about “the economy of grace.” He says, “sin and failure are, in fact, the setting and opportunity for transformation and enlightenment,” and that “only love effects true inner transformation, not duress, guilt, shunning, or social pressure.”
Join us online on Wednesday evening, August 27th to explore how we can all apply elements of the 12 steps in our own lives and communities. In this session, we will focus on connection and healing through “the economy of grace.” When were you transformed by your mistakes? When have you chosen forgiveness over retribution? What is your experience of grace?
While we offer our online programming for free, we encourage you to make a donation to help support our mission of fostering meaningful conversations and relationships that create purpose in life, belonging in community, and wellbeing in the workplace.
